The Three Rivers Marina Restaurant is housed in an old ballroom on the banks of three rivers, one of which is the shortest in New Zealand, in the city of Gisborne - the first city in the world to see the sun of each new day.

The hosts of The Three Rivers Marina at the time of the Truffle Dinner in 1997 were Margarita Rasink and Michael Strong. For The Three Rivers, Three Chefs Truffle Dinner, Michael is joined in the kitchen by Nelson Dimas - a "World Chef" - now teaching in New Zealand & truffle aficionado; and by Kurt Jacobsen - the sous chef of the award-winning White House Restaurant in Wellington.

The truffle dinner will feature truffles from Alan Hall's Gisborne truffière in a menu designed to show them at their best, and accompanied by fine wines from Corbans Wines Ltd, matched to each course.
